Like many designers, I've been interested in art and design since childhood, when I used to draw homemade comic books and sketch storyboards for the science fiction films I hoped to make one day.

Later, in my teens, I was introduced to the work of design legend Giorgetto Giugaro (founder of Ital Design), and spent many wonderful afternoons sketching my own "concept cars." But it wasn't until after college, when a friend introduced me to the power of software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, that my early interest in design really took off.

I've spent much of the last half dozen years working with these programs on a daily basis, and have gained a level of proficiency that has enabled me to apply these skills to four-color process work on a professional basis. As a result, my designs have graced the covers of books, given form and substance to catalogs, and pushed products ranging from t-shirts to health food. It's something I love doing, and strive to do well.

My rate for basic print work -- jobs involving the use of Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign to produce artwork or layouts -- is $25/hr. Occasionally, specialized tools such as a 3D application may be required to produce a particular effect or generate an image impossible to achieve otherwise; the rates for this are somewhat different ($30/hr for set-up; $20/hr for render time), and are discussed in greater detail here.

I'm also available on a "per project" basis to facilitate working within a set budget. Please contact me to discuss your needs; I'll be more than happy to provide you with an estimate.
